Christmas Light Trails Near Bracknell: Windsor From 13 Nov

There is no Christmas light trail inside Bracknell Forest, but two big ones open within reach next month. Windsor Great Park Illuminated returns on Friday 13 November and runs every evening to Sunday 3 January, with adult tickets from £19.80. RHS Glow at Wisley follows on selected dates from Friday 20 November, with the cheapest adult tickets at £7.50. Both are pre-booked only.

Windsor Great Park Illuminated: 13 November to 3 January

The Crown Estate’s trail is the closer of the two, set in woodland near The Savill Garden and around Obelisk Pond. The organiser’s page gives the essentials. (Windsor Great Park, Illuminated)

• Dates: Friday 13 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027.
• Times: tickets are for timed entry. From 13 to 26 November the trail is open 4.30pm to 10.30pm; from 27 November to 3 January it opens at 4.15pm. Last entry is 8.30pm throughout.
• Prices: adults from £19.80, children aged three to 15 from £12.10, and a family ticket for two adults and two children from £56.10. Under-threes go free but need a £0 ticket. The prices include the booking fee; car park charges are on top.
• No refunds or exchanges. The trail goes ahead in all weather, and the organiser says you will not get your money back if you stay at home because of the rain.
• The walk: 1.36 miles (2.2km), which the organiser reckons takes an hour and a half to two hours with stops. It is outdoors and uncovered.
• On the trail: light installations, music, Santa and his reindeer somewhere along the route, and rest stops selling hot food, mulled wine and hot chocolate, with marshmallow toasting.
• Dogs are allowed on a lead.

The organiser is frank about access: some of the woodland terrain is not suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters or buggies, especially in wet weather. There is no strobe lighting, but some installations pulse and flash. Essential companion tickets are free with supporting documents, and there is no cloakroom, so bring only a small bag.

Parking at Windsor Great Park

You cannot just turn up and park. Parking is limited and must be bought in advance with the entry ticket; See Tickets sends a parking voucher that is scanned at the car park entrance. Entry is from The Savill Garden and Adventure Play car park, satnav code TW20 0UJ. Blue Badge parking is booked during checkout. RHS Glow at Wisley: selected dates from 20 November

The Royal Horticultural Society’s Glow trail at RHS Garden Wisley, off the A3 just south of junction 10 of the M25, runs on selected dates rather than every night. (RHS, Glow at Wisley)

• Dates: selected dates from Friday 20 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, including Christmas Eve.
• Times: 4pm to 9pm, last entry 7.30pm. On Christmas Eve it finishes at 8pm.
• Pre-booked tickets only. Everyone needs a Glow ticket, including RHS members, carers and under-fives. You can arrive at any point in your booked slot and stay until closing.
• No dogs, except registered assistance dogs.
• Accessibility: the RHS says the Wisley Glow trail is fully accessible.
• Sensory evenings: Thursday 26 November and Tuesday 1 December, 4pm to 8.30pm, with fewer visitors and less noise. Up to two carers go free.

The price depends on the night. Non-member prices per person:

Children under five are free. RHS members pay less, from £6.50 for an adult on a super off peak night, because membership already covers garden entry.

Christmas lights in Bracknell itself

Bracknell’s own lights are a switch-on rather than a trail. The Lexicon had not announced its 2026 switch-on when we checked on 18 October, and Sandhurst Town Council lists its Christmas Lights Event for Saturday 28 November with no time yet.
